Hi, I’m Shelby Domabyl-Deiters — photographer, artist, hockey mom, and all-around sports enthusiast based in the Chicagoland area (but always up for a road trip!).

I’m drawn to capturing the real moments — the joy, intensity, and emotion that make life and sport so magnetic. Whether it’s the split second before a shot on net, the crack of a bat at home plate, or the pure excitement on a fan’s face in the stands, I believe there’s a kind of magic in freezing those moments in time.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me at the rink with my son, in the stands cheering on my favorite teams, or out in nature with my binoculars — an avid birder and wildlife explorer always chasing light, movement, and connection.

Through SDD Creative Works, I bring together my love for storytelling, sport, and art — creating images and illustrations that celebrate people, passion, and the moments that matter most.
